Yes, you can have your company registered at our address.

You can rent out a mailbox or a virtual office address at A1MailBox, and you can use our physical address ********* as your Registered Company address for all your business mail and correspondence. A1MailBox offers you a registered office address in England, Scotland or Ireland for a minor fee of £50 including VAT, in addition to our rental fees for regular Business mailbox.

You can rent a mailbox online or in-store and utilize our address at Companies House or for any official HMRC mail.

A mailbox address is an actual street address, not a PO Box.

Companies House advises that all companies are required by law to have a registered office address which must be a physical location in the country where that business is registered. It is the address where you will be dealing with all official correspondence such as letters and notices.

With a mailbox address services from A1MailBox and the mail forwarding service either by post or by courier, we deliver your mail worldwide to any postal address.

We also hold you SAIL address (Single Alternative Inspection Location) on file so any written requests for company information can be promptly passed on in order to meet both your and our legal requirement.

Virtual and Physical mailbox are two different services offered by A1MailBox.

If you are not clear on the specification or differences between a physical and a virtual mailbox, let’s us explain it for you.

Virtual Mailbox

A Virtual Mailbox gives you the benefit if using our prestigious address without requiring a physical mailbox to collect your mail in. We collect all your mail on your behalf and hold it securely until you collect* it or it is forwarded to you on your private address as required.

*All mail collect is to be conducted within our opening hours.

Virtual Mailbox is the perfect solution for those who live, work or run a business from outside of UK. We fulfill their personal and professional needs for receiving mail, processing and forwarding it.

Physical Mailbox

Your Physical Mailbox is a real mailbox in our store. Your mail is received (collected and signed for-as required) by us and securely put in your locked mailbox to be collected / emptied at your leisure. We do offer the mail handling and forwarding facilities here too like the virtual mailbox. However the perk here is having your own personally serviceable and physical mail location separate from your home or business.

To avail mailbox rental services from A1MailBox, personal identification is required.

There are two types of documents that are required from you. There are two lists given below, for identification purposes, 1 document from each list is needed.

(A) Photo Identification - Proof of Identity

  • A current student card
  • CitizenCard
  • Disabled Drivers Blue Badge Pass
  • Employment identification card
  • HM Forces Identity Card
  • Passport
  • Photo card Driving license*
  • ValidateUK Identity Card

*Note: The UK 'paper counterpart' is no longer valid or required from 8th June.

(B) Proof of Address (where both name and address is shown)

  • Bank/Building Society statement*
  • Credit card/store card bill*
  • Current benefit book
  • Current Council Tax bill
  • Current mortgage statement
  • Current P45/P60 statement
  • Current TV license
  • Financial statement (e.g. pension, endowment)
  • Gas or electricity bill*
  • HM Revenue and Customs Notice of Coding
  • Letter from Benefits Agency
  • Pay slip*
  • Student hall of residence agreement or any other proof of accommodation
  • Telephone bill*
  • Valid insurance certificate
  • Water bill*

*If the document you are providing is a statement, pay slip or bill for electricity, gas, telephone or water, credit card, store card etc, it must be less than 3 months old on the date of submission of proof.

Conditions of service in accordance with the identification rules and requirements!

Please note that no mail received can be released to you until you produce an original ID, or suitably certified copies for person or persons to whom the mail is addressed. All mail receiving, holding or forwarding services will rendered upon sighting proper identification.

For business customers, registered companies, partnerships, trusts and charities, Identification will be required, where applicable by type of business, for the following:

  • Beneficial owners
  • Persons with significant control
  • All individuals or Legal Persons controlling over 25% of share or voting rights

All identification must be sent in or delivered to A1MailBox store at the commencement of mailbox rental services. I.D. may also be required on periodic basis in case your circumstances or, the rules governing operations of a mailbox service happen to change. The A1MailBox location does not need to be the location selected for the Mailbox rental service.

You must not until; such time when we have issued your official mailbox number, use or quote your mailbox address for any reason or purpose. No will received for you will be released to you until we have duly received and approved your identification. We will be holding a copy of your identification on file securely.

For customers based in Europe, certified identification that is submitted by the customer must show a clear, original stamp, signature and it must be dated, by any of the following entities: a solicitor, notary, accountant, post office, local council, doctor, or minister of religion.

Customers applying for our services from countries outside the EU will be required to provide documents notarised by a Public Notary.

You can cancel your mailbox service subscription any time you want.

If you are terminating services before the end of contracted rental period for mailbox services, we require at least one calendar month’s notice in writing/email at A1MailBox store where we hold your rental.

But unfortunately, we cannot refund your payment. After your cancellation of services has been processed, we will return any mail or packages received for you directly to the sender.
